About
Hello. I’m Ajit.
I run 6 Week AI. I help business owners work out where AI actually fits in their business, and then get the useful part working. I’m based in Walnut Creek, California, and I work with people locally and remotely.
How I got here
For more than twenty years I’ve helped teams untangle messy problems and ship software, mostly from the product side. That took me to ServiceNow, as a product leader on the platform team behind its workflow engine; to Reddit, designing products used by millions of people; and to GOV.UK, where service design happens at national scale.
What all of that taught me is that the software isn’t the measure. Whether people actually use it is.
One example, from Reddit. Our most engaged users were worried about a redesign. On the surface it looked like complaints about change. Underneath, the real fear was that ads would bury the content they cared about. So instead of pitching them, I built a panel of those users and shared our research and decisions with them in the open. Over about eighteen months, some of the most resistant people became our champions.
Later, in my client work, the first week of every project looked the same. Before I said anything, I read the business from the outside: its site, its listings, its competitors, what customers asked for in reviews and never got. It was always the most useful week, and the one nobody wanted to pay for. So I automated it. That’s the Gap Scan.
Why 6 Week AI
Most people start by asking “How can we use AI?” I’d rather start with “Where does work keep getting stuck?” Once you can see that clearly, whether AI helps becomes a much easier question.
The name isn’t a six-week program. It’s the rule I use for scoping: if a problem can’t be made meaningfully better in about six weeks, it’s probably still too big, or not yet clearly defined.
What I believe
- Start with the workflow. The tool is the last decision, not the first one.
- I’ll tell you when AI isn’t the answer. Sometimes the fix is a process change or a $30-a-month tool.
- I won’t build what you can buy, or what the software you already pay for can do. I’ll just point you at it.
- Remove work, don’t replace people.
- People stay in control. AI drafts, suggests and speeds things up. The judgment stays with you.
- You can’t buy your way into being AI-native. It only sticks when you build it yourself, with someone guiding you.
The team
6 Week AI is a company of one: me, plus a team of AI agents I built. They do much of the work between my decisions. I decide what we work on, and I’m the one who answers for what goes out.

Vikram, engineering lead.
Keeps the whole system coherent and decides what’s ready to ship.

Meera, design.
Owns what you see and how it feels, and checks every screen on a phone first.

Jesus, report quality.
Builds the checks that keep a Gap Scan report accurate and honest.

Jose, customer communication.
Writes the emails you receive, and runs the editor that fixes a report without rewriting it.

Xi, special projects.
Takes on the hard new builds.

Noah, foundations.
Keeps the groundwork the rest of the team stands on solid.

Priya, research.
Reads a business the way a stranger would: its website, listings, reviews and competitors, with a source for every finding.

Emma, writing.
Drafts posts and notes in my voice, for me to edit.

Jorge, operations.
Keeps track of meetings, follow-ups and what I’ve promised people.
I’m building my own company this way, and it’s a big part of what I teach.
Ways to work with me
The Gap Scan
A free, outside-in read of your business from nothing but your website address. It shows what the businesses you compete with are doing that you aren’t. Back in 1–3 hours, and there’s no call.
Run my Gap Scan →Build Your First AI Employee
A live workshop: six 90-minute working sessions over three weeks, for small-business owners who want to build it themselves rather than have it done for them. I really believe small businesses deserve the support in learning how to do this.
See the workshop →The AI-Native Founder Kit
Free, and best if you’re a new founder just starting a company. Three short exercises and a simple setup that turn AI into a real working partner for your business.
Get the kit →Get in touch
If you’d like to talk something through, I’m happy to. Email me at hello@6weekai.com, find me on LinkedIn, or book a quick call. And if you’d rather just run the scan and act on it without me, that’s fine too.
Outside work, you’ll usually find me on a motorcycle or travelling with my family.
